Rev. Elise T. Stringer

Pastor Elise was born January 25, 1980, in Columbia, SC.  She was raised in Irmo, a suburb of Columbia.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Elise continued on to Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, to pursue a Masters of Divinity. While in seminary she worked as a youth director at a Presbyterian Church in Irmo, where she met Jeffrey Stringer.  Jeffrey and Elise were married December 11th, 2004.  Elise graduated from LTSS May 18, 2007, and was ordained on July 27, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC.

In 2011 Pastor Elise and Jeffrey welcomed their oldest son, McKinstry James "Tyndall" Stringer (12), and in 2014 their youngest son, Charley Americus "Jones" Stringer (8). The boys stay busy playing sports, attending USC sporting events, and participating in all church activities. 

Jeffrey and Elise are both enthusiastic Gamecock fans; enjoy attending football and basketball games, as well as playing softball, basketball, golf and tennis. Pastor Elise enjoys Holy Yoga, running, Essential Oils, dance, Disney, good wine, and experiencing new adventures with her family and friends.
